Tormod Flaten ，挪威知名上低音號演奏家。 1975 年出生於奧斯陸，自幼學習上低音號演奏。爾後，進入柏根大學 ( University of Bergen ) 葛利格音樂院 ( Grieg Academy ) 追隨 Kim ofthouse 及 Grethe Tonheim 學習上低音號演奏。目前於挪威 Eikanger Bjorsvik Musikklag 銅管樂團擔任上低音號首席。

這張於 2002 年由 Yamaha 樂器公司贊助發行的首張個人專輯，除了收錄德國作曲家巴赫為大提琴所創作的第四號無伴奏組曲外，另收錄許多罕見的曲目，是喜愛上低音號演奏的朋友們不可錯過的專輯。
