專門為各式音樂會而設計的普門館 ( Fumon Hall ) 於 1967 年 9 月開始興建，並在 1970 年 4 月 28 日正式落成啟用。座落於東京都杉並區內的這座音樂廳，內部共有 4,702 個座位。

自 1972 年，由全日本吹奏樂聯盟及朝日新聞社主辦的第廿屆全日本管樂合奏比賽國中組及高中組的賽程首次於該館舉行之後，從 1977 年起即不曾間斷，其地位如同棒球的甲子園。

這張於 2008 年下旬發行，由小林惠子與東京佼成管樂團合作演出的音樂會實況 DVD ，即為了紀念普門館做為比賽場地 26 年所舉行的音樂會。片中收錄美國作曲家 Alfred Reed 名作「 Armenian Dances Part I 」、為紀念該團榮譽指揮 F. Fennell 由 Daniel Kenji Akemoto 創作，伊滕康英先生改編的「 In the Light of the Setting Sun 」外，另收錄 10 首歷年極具代表性的國人作品。

此 DVD 採限量 2000 片方式發行，售完為止，特此說明。
