世界管樂大賽 ( WMC ) 創辦於西元 1951 年，每 4 年在荷蘭南部的 Kerkrade 舉辦，是目前世界上規模最大、公認最具規模的管樂盛會之一。

2005 年第 15 屆世界管樂大賽首次嘗試舉辦了銅管樂團組的比賽，即吸引世界各地的一流銅管樂團參加。本 DVD 收錄各組別優勝隊伍，包括來自英國、荷蘭、捷克、美國和紐西蘭等國家各樂團的精采演出。
