救世軍 ( The Salvation Army ) 是一個國際基督教慈善團體，屬於基督教普世教會之一，於 1865 年由卜維廉 ( William Booth ) 夫婦在英國倫敦創辦。

教會採用軍事術語和組織處理一切行政。例如稱工作區域為「軍區」，一般會堂為「部隊」；稱駐堂牧師為「軍官」，加入軍中的基督徒成員為「軍兵」；稱佈道為「戰役」，加入教會為「募兵」，信主公開的誓約告白為「軍兵戰條」；又如制服、軍旗、樂隊、歡樂活潑的聚會氣氛與追求聖潔的生活，成了救世軍的特色。

其基本使命，在於宣揚耶穌基督的福音，並透過各種社會服務與慈善工作，向世界各地未曾聽聞基督福音的人傳達這個訊息。

於第二次世界大戰之前，救世軍即定期的在英國的 Royal Albert Hall 舉辦福音音樂會，由世界各地的救世軍成員擔綱演出。演出形式包括銅管樂團、合唱等，曲目也不只侷限於宗教音樂，豐富而多元。

以往，救世軍的福音音樂會都是採用傳統的方式記錄，直到 2005 年才開始由 SP&S 公司代為製作發行音樂會現場 DVD 。各地的救世軍銅管樂團在台灣的知名度不高，樂團也較少有錄音、錄影資料出版，導致許多朋友不知道有這個團體的存在。建議喜歡銅管樂團的朋友們，千萬不可以錯過他們默契極佳的精湛演出。
