1995 年畢業自密芝根大學 ( University of Michigan ) 的 Matt Tropman ，自 11 歲開始學習上低音號演奏，並多次獲得國際比賽大獎。目前擔任美國海軍陸戰隊管樂團 ( U.S. Marine Band ) 上低音號演奏家。
這張於 2000 年發行的首張個人專輯，除了收錄 Fantasie Original 、 Sicilienne 等經典曲目外，更收錄眾多九零年代為上低音號所創作的最新曲目，其中包括美國作曲家 David Gillingham 為無伴奏上低音號創作的「 Blue Lake Fantasies 」、 美國低音號演奏名家 Sam Pilafian 為獨奏上低音號與拉丁打擊樂器創作的「 Relentless Grooves 」。
此外，特別推薦挪威上低音號演奏家 Sverre Olsrud 改編瑞典作曲家 Hugo Alfven 的「 Dance of the Shepherd Girl 」。 |
