Philip Sparke ，英國作曲家。 1951 年出生於倫敦，自幼學習鋼琴及小號演奏。高中畢業後，進入英國皇家音樂學院學習作曲、鋼琴及小號演奏，期間分別完成生平第一部銅管樂團及管樂團作品「 Concert Prelude 」及「 Gaudium 」。畢業後，受紐西蘭銅管樂團大賽主辦單位委託創作「 The Land of the Long White Cloud 」，自此揚名樂壇，委託創作邀約不斷。

這張於 2006 年中旬發行的最新個人作品專輯「 Harlequin 」，除了收錄英國新生代上低音號演奏家 David Childs 擔綱演出的兩首上低音號協奏曲，另特別收錄 Philip Sparke 最新力作：「 Three Extraordinary Journeys - A Tribute to Jules Verne 」。作曲家透過音樂，生動的描繪法國作家儒勒凡爾納 ( Jules Verne, 1828 – 1905 ) 三部最為人知的幻想小說：《海底兩萬浬》、《氣球上的五星期》、《環遊世界八十天》。
