Derick Kane ，英國知名上低音號演奏家。 1956 年出生於蘇格蘭 Hamilton 。八歲開始學習上低音號演奏，十歲即登台演奏協奏曲。 1976 年加入救世軍銅管樂團至世界各地演出，並於 1991 年獲頒英國年度最佳上低音演奏家獎。目前於英國 Crown Wood School 擔任教職。

這張於 2005 年中旬發行的第二張專輯，共收錄十四首為上低音號原創（改編）作品，其中包括英國作曲家 Ray Steadman Allen 根據暢銷踢踏舞劇 Lord of the Dance 配樂為主題，為上低音號所創作的變奏曲「 Lyric Variations 」。
