日本東京佼成管樂團 ( TKWO ) Japan Band Repertoire 系列專輯向以錄製優秀的日本管樂作品為其特色。

主打曲目：飛天之舞 ( Dance of the Flying God ) 為松下功 ( I. Matsushita ) 於 2002 受 TKWO 委託的創作。全曲分成兩大部份： Air of Invitation 及 Dance of the Flying God ，描寫神明 Hiten 接受邀請，展現其飛天時美妙姿態的場景，是一部實驗性質非常濃厚的管樂創作。

真島俊夫 ( T. Mashima ) 向以改編富爵士風格的管樂曲聞名，以致其創作能力備受忽略。這部 2001 年受 TKWO 委託的創作 Les Trois Notes du Japon，就是他用音樂紀錄日本印象的作品。無論是根據日本傳統舞蹈音樂所創作第一樂章 La Danse des Grues、描繪雪花飄落流水中美景的第二樂章 La Riviere Enneigee、或是描寫日本節慶的第三樂章 La Fete du Feu ，無不展現大和民族的風情。
